Micromax A116 Canvas HD sees first price drop of its life!

Whoa! This is what we did not expect. But yes, this has happened now. Soon after the release of the Galaxy S4 we have seen a price drop in the price of India's second domestic quad-core smartphone - the Micromax A116 Canvas HD.

Though this is not a drop in the official price of the phone, the phone could b spotted at the Spice Mobile store at a price of Rs 14399. Rs 200 less than the official price. The White colour variant is already sold out and only the Black colour variant is available in the store.

Since the launch of the phone in mid February this year, the 5 incher was able to generate demand like never before. It went out of the stocks most of the time and its supply suffered a delay. The company had to offer freebies to angry customers.

Even today few stores are selling the device at a higher price. (read here)This is the first time that the phone has seen a price drop.
