LG to begin Optimus F5 global rollout in France on April 29

LG will begin to release the Optimus F5, the mid-range device, in France on April 29th before beginning to roll out globally
LG's F-series handsets offer a solution to 4G being limited to high-end handsets such as the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
The F5 will launch in France initially followed by parts of Asia and South/Central America over the next several weeks.
LG revealed the F-series at MWC 2013 earlier this year along with the Optimus G, G Pro, L-Series and Vu. The Korean company introduced the F5 as a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Dual-Core Optimus with a 4.3-inch IPS display.
LG's official press release says, "The Optimus F Series is a new family of Android smartphones for consumers who are ready to experience the blazing speds of 4G LTE without the high costs that normally go with such a device."
The F5 will run on the latest Androd Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS and comes with features such as QSlide, for opening multiple apps at the same time in ful screen mode, Live Zooming to zoom in on videos to get a closer, detailed look, Video Wiz for editing video and QTranslator, which translates a vast selection of languages by scanning the text with the camera.
President and CEO of LG Electronics, Dr. Jong-seok Park says, "With the Optimus F5, we're confident we can capture an untapped market of new and upgrading smartphone users who crave a feature-rich, LTE device."
