Tata Motors hits out at move to allow quadricycles; Rajiv Bajaj rubbishes contention

MUMBAI: Two giants of the Indian automobile industry clashed on Thursday when Tata Motors MD Karl Slym questioned the desirability of the quadricycle, taking a potshot at Bajaj Auto, which is ready with its own version of the four-wheeler.
"Why? The government and industry have been accelerating efforts in traffic safety & environment, now we consider Quadricycle. Why go backwards?" Slym wrote on the microblogging site Twitter.
