Bugatti shows how their Grand Sport Vitesse WRC achieved 408.84 kmph


Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse World Record Car or WRC was in news earlier this month, when it achieved a top speed of 408.84 kmph or 255.53 mph. They have now revealed a video of the same.

Bugatti shows how their Grand Sport Vitesse WRC achieved 408.84 kmphAmid all the drama earlier this month, which saw Guinness World Records stripping Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport of it’s world’s fastest car title, and then reinstating the same within a matter of days, Bugatti was in the middle of creating a new record.

Bugatti was at the Ehra-Lessien high-speed test track facility (which features 9 kms arrow-straight tarmac), owned by Volkswagen. They had come along with their Grand Sport Vitesse WRC and racing driver, Anthony Liu. The plan was to record a top speed of their new open-top, which features an engine that generates 1,200 PS. They recorded a top speed of 408.84 kmpl, which makes it the fastest open-top car in the world. Even Guinness World Records, have registered this car as the fastest open-top production car in the world. Watch the video below to see Anthony and Bugatti achieve a 408.84 kmph.
